NXT St. Petersburg, FL, live results: Adam Cole vs. Kassius Ohno

Image and report submitted by @FLWrestlingFan

Approximately 250 people were in attendance last night.

– Heavy Machinery defeated The Forgotten Sons (Wesley Blake & Steve Cutler)

Otis Dozovic pinned Cutler and Blake simultaneously after a double Compactor slam to end an entertaining opener. Both teams were very over in their respective roles.

– Vanessa Borne defeated Jessie Elaban

Borne submitted her with a half Boston crab.

– Lars Sullivan defeated Brennan Williams

Sullivan pinned Williams in five minutes after a Freak Accident slam.

– Shayna Baszler defeated Abbey Laith

Baszler choked out Laith in three minutes. At one point, she delivered forearms and knee strikes that were so stiff the crowd was yelling “Throw in the towel” and “Stop the match.”

Baszler received a huge reaction when she came through the curtain and would stop between submissions and say “This blood is on your hands Ember” and “Stop running from me Moon” during the match.

– Adam Cole defeated Kassius Ohno

Cole pinned Ohno after reversing a powerbomb and hitting a superkick and a Shining Wizard. This went 11 minutes, was the match of the night, and was one of the first times I can recall Cole working a singles match on a Florida house show.

These two have great chemistry and it was one of the best matches I’ve seen on the Florida loop so far in 2018.

– Tino Sabbatelli & Riddick Moss defeated TM61

TM61 are now introduced as “The Mighty TM61.” Sabbatelli pinned Nick Miller with a handful of tights.

Throughout the match, Sabbatelli and Moss continued to tease breaking up with slapping tags and accidentally knocking each other off the apron.

– Kairi Sane defeated Rhea Ripley

Sane pinned Ripley after the flying elbow. Both of these acts were very over, and Ripley does a phenomenal job as a heel working the crowd. This match was really good and should be on TV tomorrow, but it was marred by two separate men in the audience yelling racist things at Sane.

This was one of the best women’s matches on the circuit in a while.

– Sabbatelli and Moss came back out and bragged about how rich they are and how stupid fans are for thinking they were going to break up earlier against TM61. Sullivan’s music hit and both men ran to the curtain, only to be blocked off by TM61 to a huge pop.

TM61 threw them back in the ring, and Sullivan gave them a double Freak Accident. The crowd chanted “One more time,” so Sullivan gave another one to Sabbatelli. Moss contemplated saving him but ran to the back instead. Sullivan then brought him back out and delivered a Freak Accident to roaring approval. This is becoming one of the more entertaining repeated segments on the Florida loop.

– NXT Tag Team Champions The Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly) defeated The Street Profits to retain their titles

O’Reilly pinned Dawkins after Undisputed’s Total Elimination variation in 14 minutes. Percy Watson announced before the match that William Regal had made this an NXT Tag Team Championship bout. The Street Profits had the titles won after a spinebuster/blockbuster off the top combination, but Cole ran out and distracted the referee.

Ford then knocked out Cole with a penalty kick on the apron before being superkicked by O’Reilly, leading to the finisher on Dawkins. Good match.
