Report: Tommaso Ciampa called up to WWE Raw roster

An NXT mainstay looks to have found their place on the WWE main roster.
PWInsider reported today that Tommaso Ciampa has officially been called up to the Raw roster. PWInsider wrote that Ciampa is in Detroit and will be at tonight’s episode of Raw at Little Caesars Arena.
Ciampa had his farewell match for NXT at Stand & Deliver during WrestleMania weekend, losing to Tony D’Angelo. The crowd chanted “Thank you Ciampa” after the match, and Paul “Triple H” Levesque appeared and embraced Ciampa as he was heading to the back.
Ciampa made appearances on Raw in recent months while he was feuding with Dolph Ziggler in NXT. Ciampa has also wrestled four times on episodes of WWE Main Event.
Ciampa was a two-time NXT Champion and one-time NXT Tag Team Champion during his time on the brand.
In a behind-the-scenes video from Stand & Deliver, Ciampa said NXT was his wrestling dream come true:
Three NXT wrestlers were called up to the WWE main roster on last Friday’s episode of SmackDown. Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser (formerly known as Marcel Barthel), and Raquel Rodriguez (Raquel Gonzalez) all joined SmackDown.
