Pat McAfee makes surprise appearance at WWE Fastlane

With Fastlane taking place in Indianapolis, Pat McAfee made a surprise appearance at the show.

McAfee appeared prior to the tag team match between John Cena & LA Knight and The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa). McAfee cut a promo, introduced Cena, and then joined Michael Cole and Corey Graves on commentary.

During his promo, McAfee praised the Indianapolis crowd and said he thinks Indianapolis deserves to host a WrestleMania.

Indianapolis is McAfee’s adopted hometown. He played for the Indianapolis Colts for the entirety of his NFL career.

McAfee also voiced the opening video for Fastlane.

McAfee traveled to Indianapolis after doing ESPN’s College GameDay earlier on Saturday. College GameDay was in Texas for the rivalry game between the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners.

In September 2022, McAfee left his role as a full-time WWE commentator due to his College GameDay commitments. McAfee has remained part of WWE despite no longer doing weekly commentary.

McAfee also made a surprise appearance on WWE programming last month. He returned on SmackDown alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
