Odyssey Jones update after removal from WWE roster page

Odyssey Jones no longer appears on WWE.com’s roster page and his bio has been completely removed from the website.

Jones hasn’t wrestled since the August 19 edition of WWE Raw, and there was no mention of his storyline with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods on last night’s edition of the show.

Our own Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that while nothing is confirmed, it looks like Jones is no longer with the company.

“He was taken off the roster page. I’ve asked around and if it had been any kind of a glitch or something, obviously, I think by now it would have been corrected or we would have heard it’s a glitch,” Meltzer said.

“No mention of him on Raw,” Bryan Alvarez added.

“I’m relatively certain he’s done but it has not been confirmed anywhere,” Meltzer continued. “I’ve heard a bunch of stories but nothing that I would say is confirmed but it looks like he’s no longer with the company.”

On Tuesday’s edition of Wrestling Observer Live, Alvarez noted that he had heard Jones was fired from the company.

On Tuesday, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp posted to X that Jones’ removal from WWE TV was due to domestic violence allegations.

“Odyssey Jones was removed from WWE TV when domestic violence allegations came to light, Fightful has learned. We’ve not heard of an arrest or charges being pressed in relation to the situation. We’ve reached out to WWE for comment, as well as clarification on his status. Talent had not been informed of the situation.”

Meltzer added:

“His angle is done, no mention on the show, no clips of if he was injured or something, no acknowledgment of him at all. Kofi Kingston was on and there was no acknowledgement of what they’d been doing. So, he’s off, he’s gone. As far as the reasons why, I think that will probably come out or whatever it is.”

“He was in for a push. It had nothing to do with how he was getting over because he was doing real well but there is obviously a story that is probably going to come out in the next day or so, I would guess, I don’t know. There’s certainly a lot of rumors around, I’ll say that, but there’s nothing that I can confirm at this point in time.”

Jones (30) had been an offensive guard on the University of Syracuse’s football team until graduating from the school in 2016. He signed with WWE in early 2019 after having attended a tryout the year prior. Jones was drafted to the Raw brand in the 2024 WWE Draft.
