NXT TV taping spoilers: Two matches, post-TakeOver brawl

Two matches were taped for Wednesday’s episode of NXT television prior to TakeOver: Phoenix at the Talking Stick Resort Arena on Saturday night.

– Kairi Sane & Io Shirai defeated Marina Shafir & Jessamyn Duke

Sane pinned Shafir to get the win. Shafir was wearing a protective face mask like she was wearing when she got involved in Shayna Baszler’s NXT Women’s Championship match against Bianca Belair at TakeOver later in the night.

– The Forgotten Sons (Wesley Blake & Steve Cutler) defeated The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford)

A brawl also took place after TakeOver went off the air. As Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano were celebrating on the stage, Velveteen Dream came out and confronted them. Adam Cole then came out, Aleister Black and Ricochet made their way to the stage, and Dream slapped Gargano.

Officials tried to keep Dream, Black & Ricochet and Ciampa, Gargano & Cole away from each other. They attempted to go after each other backstage in the Gorilla position, with Triple H making an appearance and trying to settle things down.

Dream, Black, and Ricochet went back out and appeared in front of the crowd to close the show.
