Motor City Machine Guns officially sign with WWE

The Motor City Machine Guns are officially in WWE.

In a segment posted online, Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley officially signed their SmackDown contracts, handing them to Nick Aldis. The SmackDown General Manager told them that while they were originally set to face Los Garza, Friday’s match would now be a triple threat match also involving former champions A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory and Grayson Waller).

Additionally, a second triple threat tag team match will take place on Friday between The Street Profits, Pretty Deadly, and DIY. The winners of both matches would face each other next week, and the winners of that match would earn a shot at the WWE Tag Team titles currently held by The Bloodline (Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa).

Vignettes had been airing for the last few weeks teasing a new team that also featured images of Detroit, Michigan, as well as fast cars. Last week’s video showed the initials ‘MCMG’ and teased they would arrive next week. At the same time, Aldis gave Los Garzas a match against an unnamed tag team, saying if Los Garza won, they would get a WWE Tag Team title match.
