New role for Kiana James revealed on WWE SmackDown
Kiana James is officially back.
Zelina Vega was shown confronting Giulia backstage on this week’s SmackDown. Vega was cut off by James, who announced herself as the United States Champion’s ‘official representation.’ Vega dismissed James, calling her a ‘clipboard Karen’ and wanted to talk to Giulia about a rematch. James said she had already spoken to Nick Aldis and their rematch would take place on next week’s SmackDown, the day before the first night of SummerSlam.
Giulia defeated Vega to win the title on the SmackDown prior to Night of Champions, winning her first title since being called up to the main roster. On last week’s show, she was seen in the background talking to James.
James had been out of action for over a year due to a leg injury. Along with the SmackDown cameo, she also wrestled Michin in a match that will air on Main Event. She had been called up to the main roster as part of the 2024 WWE Draft joining the Raw brand, but only made a few appearances before being sidelined.
