NBC renews ‘Young Rock’ for season three

Young Rock” will be continuing on NBC for at least another season.

NBC announced on Thursday that it has renewed “Young Rock” for a third season. The sitcom, which is inspired by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s life story, tells how Johnson was shaped by his experiences growing up.

Season two of “Young Rock” is currently airing. The season “delves back into Dwayne Johnson’s life, continuing the storylines from Season 1 while also introducing new chapters we haven’t yet seen. As Dwayne and his loving, resilient family face new challenges and meet new wild characters of professional wrestling, Dwayne contemplates embracing the grind of professional wrestling himself. The show will explore the crazy rollercoaster that has shaped Dwayne into the man he is today and the larger-than-life people he’s met along the way.”

“Young Rock” stars Johnson, Joseph Lee Anderson, Stacey Leilua, Ana Tuisila, Adrian Groulx, Bradley Constant, Uli Latukefu, Fasitua Amosa, John Tui, and Matthew Willig. In the show, the modern-day version of Johnson is running for President of the United States in 2032.

The show is produced by Universal Television, Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions, and Fierce Baby Productions.
