Natalya makes appearance at WWE SummerSlam

Natalya appeared tonight at SummerSlam, nearly one week after her father’s passing.

She appeared right before the participants for the Raw women’s championship were due to make their entrance. She was wearing her father’s ring jacket, which Michael Cole said was the ring jacket that he wore before the Hart Foundation’s match against Demolition at SummerSlam 1990. She posed with it on the rampway, then left as Alexa Bliss’ music played.

When Ronda Rousey defeated Bliss to win the Raw women’s championship, she entered the ring to celebrate with Rousey. After they celebrated with the Bella Twins, who were also at ringside, the two posed near the entrance. Rousey dedicated the win to both Neidhart and Rowdy Roddy Piper.

Natalya was written off last week’s Raw after Neidhart passed away early on the morning of 8/13. It is believed he suffered a seizure and fell to the ground, with the impact from the fall causing his death. He had also been battling Alzheimer’s disease prior to his death.
