MVP says he had his ‘final WWE match’ on Raw

In a post on Instagram last night, MVP reflected on returning to WWE for Royal Rumble weekend.
MVP was a surprise entrant in Sunday’s men’s Royal Rumble match. He also wrestled on Raw the next night and was defeated by Rey Mysterio.
MVP wrote that his match on Raw was his final match for WWE. And while he noted that the end of his career looms larger every month, he’s not finished wrestling just yet.
“One for the history books. My FINAL WWE match took place on Monday Night RAW against my close friend and legend @619iamlucha,” MVP wrote. “A great way to close out that chapter. The end of my career looms larger every month. It’s been one HELL of a ride! I’m not finished just yet. But soon. Very soon. Thank you @wwe and the #wweuniverse for all the love!!! What an amazing week I’ve had.”
Sunday’s Royal Rumble was the first time MVP has wrestled for WWE since 2010. He entered the match at number 12 and was eliminated by Brock Lesnar.
WWE uploaded a video after the Rumble where MVP talked about his son getting to see him wrestle at the pay-per-view.
MVP also appeared on Raw’s 25th anniversary episode in January 2018.
