Miz vs. Shane McMahon cage match set for WWE Money in the Bank

While ladder matches are the theme of Money in the Bank, this year’s pay-per-view will also feature a steel cage match.

The Miz vs. Shane McMahon in a steel cage match was announced for Money in the Bank on tonight’s Raw. The PPV is taking place at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut on May 19.

Miz lost to Bobby Lashley on this week’s Raw after Shane caused a distraction. There was then a post-match angle where Shane attacked Miz. Miz fought back, but Bobby Lashley gave him a spinebuster. Shane continued to attack Miz and put him in a submission.

Later on tonight’s episode, Miz did an interview where he challenged Shane to the steel cage match at Money in the Bank. Shane tweeted that he accepts Miz’s challenge: “Challenge accepted, @mikethemiz. Looking forward to delivering another ‘Best in the World’ beating…and by the way I’d be happy to buy your father a front row ticket! #MITB”
