Matt Riddle vs. Cameron Grimes announced for NXT

Cameron Grimes is getting some stronger competition on this week’s NXT.

WWE has announced Grimes vs. Matt Riddle for tonight’s episode. Grimes has won two quick squashes since NXT’s move to the USA Network, defeating Sean Maluta and Boa. Grimes also defeated Raul Mendoza last month.

Grimes debuted on NXT in the Breakout Tournament and made it to the finals before losing to Jordan Myles.

Riddle defeated Bronson Reed on NXT last week. That was Riddle’s first appearance on TV since unsuccessfully challenging for Adam Cole’s NXT Championship on October 2.

A triple threat match for the North American Championship will take place on tonight’s NXT, with Roderick Strong defending his title against Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic. Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair is also set for the episode, and Finn Balor will make his first appearance since returning to NXT and confronting Cole three weeks ago.

A video on Balor aired last Wednesday. Balor teased that “next week, my future will be my past.”
