Matt Riddle made his NXT television debut at tonight’s tapings.
He defeated Luke Menzies during tonight’s Full Sail University tapings. He didn’t appear at any other time, and it wasn’t made clear what his role would be at NXT TakeOver: WarGames next month, if there is one.
It was announced back on August 18 that Riddle would be coming to NXT, appearing in the crowd during TakeOver: Brooklyn IV. Shortly after that, he reported to the WWE Performance Center and has worked a number of matches on the house show loops, facing off against the likes of Fabian Aichner, Dominik Dijakovic, and Kona Reeves. He also worked a tag team match at a house show recently, teaming with Johnny Gargano to defeat Adrian Jaoude and Cezar Bononi.
Riddle finished up his independent commitments on 9/30 when he lost to Mark Haskins at PROGRESS’ Hello Wembley event.
