Logan Paul announced for this week’s WWE SmackDown

WWE United States Champion Logan Paul is set to appear on this Friday’s SmackDown show.

In a video promo that aired during Monday’s Raw episode, Paul was announced for the Friday, February 2 Raw.

Paul retained the US title at last Saturday’s Royal Rumble event, defeating Kevin Owens in his first defense since winning the belt at Crown Jewel last November.

The promo that aired during Raw also said that this week’s SmackDown will kick off Roman Reigns’ road to WrestleMania, but a Reigns appearance on the show was not specifically announced. Reigns retained the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Royal Rumble in a four-way over AJ Styles, LA Knight, and Randy Orton.

Reigns is not featured in local advertising for Friday’s SmackDown in Birmingham, Alabama at the Legacy Arena at the BJCC.

The venue’s website lists Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre, plus Jey Uso vs. Dominik Mysterio for the event, likely in dark matches. Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, AJ Styles, LA Knight, Bobby Lashley, and Bianca Belair are also listed as appearing. Asuka, Jimmy Uso, and Solo Sikoa also appear in local advertising for the show.
