Liv Morgan undergoes shoulder surgery
Liv Morgan has had surgery.
The 31-year-old sustained a shoulder injury during a match against Kairi Sane on the June 16 episode of Raw. Physical therapist Kevin Wilk of Champion Sports Medicine posted an image of Morgan with her arm in a sling on Saturday. He noted that he’ll be helping Morgan with her rehabilitation after her recent surgery with Andrews Sports Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama.
“Awesome honor & pleasure to be helping @wwe superstar @yaonlylivvonce with her shoulder rehabilitation… 👉 Fantastic athlete, dedicated & great to work with ! 🙌 This @wwe superstar will be back & back even better ! 💪 👉 Outstanding athlete ! 👉 Surgery performed by @dugasmd1 of @andrews_sports_medicine”
Wilk also recently posted another Triple H-style pointing image with Shawn Michaels, noting he’s been helping Michaels with rehabilitation as well.
Liv Morgan shoulder injury
Morgan’s injury came as she was building to a possible match at WWE Evolution 2 on July 13. Morgan confronted Nikki Bella on the June 9 Raw, upset at not having been included when Bella listed off the top women in WWE. Morgan ended the segment by giving Bella an ObLIVian. Bella, who was in Green Bay for the June 16 episode as well, was scheduled to come out at some point during the Sane vs. Morgan match.
Our own Dave Meltzer wrote in Friday’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the original plan had been for Morgan vs. Bella in a singles match or Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez vs. Nikki and Brie Bella.
“We were told that, prior to Morgan’s injury, the idea was either to be Nikki vs. Morgan in a straight singles or Bellas vs. Morgan & Rodriguez,” Meltzer wrote.
