LA Knight set to team with John Cena at WWE Fastlane

LA Knight is all set to team with John Cena at WWE Fastlane.
The end of SmackDown saw Knight make the save for Cena, who was being assaulted two-on-one by Solo Sioka and Jimmy Uso. After laying out both Sioka and Uso, Knight signed the contract to team with Cena at Fastlane on October 7.
A show-long storyline saw Uso and Sikoa wreak havoc backstage in an effort to prevent others from teaming with Cena next weekend. The show last week had Cena originally planning to team with Styles, only for Styles to be laid out backstage by Sikoa and Uso, sending him out of the arena in an ambulance.
Also added to Fastlane is IYO SKY defending the WWE Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair and Asuka in a three-way match. Flair declared her intentions to challenge SKY prior to defeating Bayley on Friday’s show. After the win, Damage CTRL was set to target Charlotte when Asuka came out for the save. Bayley then accepted a three-way on behalf of SKY for Fastlane.
Rey Mysterio and the LWO will also challenge Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits. After Mysterio defeated Santos Escobar to retain the WWE United States title on Friday, the two were about to shake hands when The Street Profits and Bobby Lashley came out and assaulted the two, along with Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro when they attempted to make the save. Mysterio then issued the challenge to Lashley and The Street Profits backstage in the trainer’s room.
Here is the updated lineup for next Sunday’s Fastlane:
- Last man standing match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins defends against Shinsuke Nakamura
- WWE Women’s Championship: IYO SKY defends against Asuka and Charlotte Flair
- John Cena & LA Knight vs. Solo Sikoa & Jimmy Uso
- Rey Mysterio & The LWO vs. Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits
