John Cena, The Rock respond to Dolph Ziggler’s WWE release

John Cena and The Rock were among those who responded to news of Dolph Ziggler’s WWE release on Thursday.

Cena posted the following on X on Thursday after news broke that Ziggler had been let go by WWE:

One thousand five hundred and fifty four matches. @HEELZiggler #Respect

The Rock would chime in later in the day, re-posting a Sportskeeda infographic listing Ziggler’s career accolades:

Just seeing all these releases now. These days so f’n tough for the ones who gave their all to our crazy world of pro wrestling. Like @HEELZiggler. What a decorated @WWE career and I’ll always be a supporter and fan. Can’t wait to see what he (and everyone) does next… #onward

A total of 20 talents either announced their release or that they were no longer with WWE on Thursday, the first mass release event since Endeavor’s acquisition of WWE was finalized last week.
