John Cena says WWE retirement tour will be ‘right around 36 dates’

John Cena will be working approximately three dozen dates on his WWE retirement tour.

While speaking with Collider, Cena said his retirement tour will consist of “right around” 36 events. It will last from January through December 2025. Cena wants to wrestle in front of WWE fans around the world for one final time.

He responded when Collider asked about his future acting commitments:

This is one thing I can give you—I can probably confirm [that] Peacemaker will take us to the end of 2024, and I can say that with the utmost conviction because I have given the calendar year 2025 to WWE. I am retiring in 2025, and I start that farewell tour in January and I’ll end it in December. It’s gonna be right around 36 dates around the world to pay thanks and gratitude to the WWE audiences around the world. So, that’s what I’m doing in 2025.

The number is consistent with what Cena said previously. After announcing his retirement tour last month, Cena said the amount of dates he’d be working throughout 2025 was “in the mid-30s to 40s.”

Cena is currently promoting his new movie “Jackpot!,” which will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video starting on August 15. He told Comicbook.com that — once his retirement tour is over — there’s no amount of money that could lure him back to the ring. He’ll be an ambassador for WWE when his in-ring career is over but will never put his wrestling gear on again.
