John Cena says Austin Theory has ‘far more talent, strength, and gifts’ than he ever had

John Cena recently offered up some praise for Austin Theory.
Theory sent Cena a message on social media for the 16-time World Champion’s 45th birthday. The message included an apology from the 24 year-old for “being a better US Champ.” Theory also attached a video of him telling a young Cena fan that he is better than their hero.

Cena then responded by saying Theory shouldn’t apologize for having more talent. He should only apologize after 20 years if he hasn’t put in the work required to capitalize on it.
“Everyone understands that you have far more talent, strength, and gifts than I ever had. Don’t apologize for that. Ever. An apology should come 20 years from now if you fail to provide the EFFORT needed to turn your potential into your legacy. I hope that day never comes,” Cena wrote in response.

Theory defeated Finn Balor to win the United States Championship on the April 18 edition of Raw. The title was the first Cena ever won in his WWE career when he defeated The Big Show for it at WrestleMania 20.
