John Cena reveals venue he wants to host his final WWE match

John Cena has revealed the venue he would like to host his final WWE match.
Cena has recently been talking about wanting to wrap up his in-ring career. Cena, who turns 47 years old this April, told Entertainment Tonight this week that he plans on being done in the ring before he turns 50.
On Tuesday, Cena was interviewed on BBC’s The One Show in the United Kingdom and was asked about his potential final WWE match. Cena said he doesn’t pick his opponents, but he would like his final match to take place at The O2 Arena in London.

I’ve gone by the construct in my life of never trying to pick my opponents, because that’s way above my pay grade, but I’ve been an active advocate for London to be a host of WrestleMania. And a lot of people think when I go out in the middle of the ring and I say that, it is just for the local moment. Like, ‘We’re the show, we want to make the show happy.’ Fans in the UK, WWE fans are the best. And fans in London specifically, they will let you know how they feel. And I don’t think I’ll be able to choose my opponent. But if I could choose a venue, it would be The O2 in London.
Cena made a surprise appearance when Money in the Bank took place at The O2 last July. He lobbied for London to host a future edition of WrestleMania.
Cena was able to make an extended return to WWE last fall during the Hollywood strike. He worked three televised matches in 2023. The most recent of those was a loss to Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel last November. Sikoa was dominant in the match, winning with 11 Samoan spikes. Cena returned to Hollywood with the strike ending soon after.
