John Cena is returning to WWE in time for WrestleMania season.
WWE sent out an email today announcing that Cena will be appearing on the Monday, March 6 episode of Raw at the TD Garden in Boston. It’s the first WWE show Cena has been announced for since he appeared on the final SmackDown of 2022.
WWE wrote:
16-Time World Champion John Cena will appear LIVE at TD Garden in Boston, MA for the 3/6/23 edition of Monday Night RAW.
Don’t miss out on seeing this epic Monday Night RAW on the Road to WrestleMania LIVE!
Tickets are available now via Ticketmaster
In his only match of 2022, Cena teamed with Kevin Owens to defeat Roman Reigns & Sami Zayn on the December 30 edition of SmackDown.
Dave Meltzer reported earlier this month that a match between Cena and Austin Theory was planned for WrestleMania 39. Theory currently holds the WWE United States Championship. He retained the title in an Elimination Chamber match against Seth Rollins, Montez Ford, Damian Priest, Johnny Gargano, and Bronson Reed this past Saturday.
Theory is defending the US title against Edge on tonight’s Elimination Chamber fallout edition of Raw. That match was made official when Edge accepted an open challenge that was issued by Theory.
Cena is the cover star for the WWE 2K23 video game, which is being released on Friday, March 17.
