Jey Uso wants to form ‘full-blown’ WWE tag team with Sami Zayn

Though he’s currently chasing singles gold, Jey Uso also has his sights set on getting back into the tag team mix.
Uso told The Metro that he wants to form a “full-blown” tag team with Sami Zayn in WWE. The two have been aligned on WWE Raw and teamed together to defeat World Tag Team Champions Finn Balor & JD McDonagh in non-title action this July.
Working with Zayn in The Bloodline was a highlight of Uso’s career. He told The Metro that the chemistry between him and Zayn was always so organic.
“I know we hated each other on screen, but we really love each other in the back, but it just came off on TV, so organically. You will have little glimpses of me and him on Raw but man, I really want to go like, full blown tag team with him and try to see how that goes,” Uso said.
“One of the most best times of my wrestling career was that Bloodline, with Sami Zayn.”
Uso became the number one contender to the Intercontinental title by winning the finals of a tournament on Raw last week. Bron Breakker — the current champion — won the Intercontinental title from Zayn at SummerSlam this August.
The Breakker vs. Uso title match is happening on Raw next week. Uso has never held a singles championship in his WWE career.
Zayn is feuding with World Heavyweight Champion Gunther with a title match between the two expected to take place at Bad Blood on Saturday, October 5.
