Jey Uso reveals what John Cena told him after WWE Royal Rumble

While being interviewed by NFL legends Shannon Sharpe & Chad Johnson, Jey Uso gave some insight into the moment he shared with John Cena after the Royal Rumble.
Uso and Cena were the final two left in the men’s Rumble match on Saturday night. By eliminating Cena, Uso earned the biggest victory of his career and secured a title shot in one of the top matches at WrestleMania.
There was a moment after the Rumble where Cena got back into the ring, hugged Uso, and spoke with him. Uso told the Nightcap podcast that Cena reminded him of some advice he had given The Usos at the start of their career. He then had Uso look at the crowd to appreciate how far he has come.
“If you watch it back, he did come in the ring,” Jey said before joking that he thought he was going to have to throw Cena out again. “He hugged me, he goes, ‘Hey Uce, I remember your first tour. I said, I always told you and your brother, you guys will be fine, be yourself.’ And he goes, ‘Look at these people now.’ And like, that’s when he turned me to the crowd. And you know, it just hit me, man. Yeah, man — love, love for John Cena. He’s a GOAT [greatest of all time], man.”
With Cena failing to win the Rumble, his path to a WrestleMania title shot will have to go through Elimination Chamber. The PLE is taking place in Toronto at Rogers Centre on Saturday, March 1.
WWE has not officially confirmed which title Uso will be challenging for at WrestleMania, but he mentioned at the post-Royal Rumble press conference that he would like one more crack at winning the World Heavyweight Championship from Gunther.
