Jesse Ventura ‘on the verge’ of signing WWE Legends contract

Jesse Ventura is “on the verge” of being back under contract with WWE.

During an interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Ventura gave an update on his relationship with WWE and the talks for a Legends contract. Ventura said the deal is agreed to and just needs to be signed by both sides.

“My relationship with them now has much improved,” he said. “We are on the verge right now — I can say this, that contracts have been written, contracts have been agreed upon, and all it requires is two signatures, one from them, and one from me. And I will be back with the Legends.”

Ventura was asked if there’s a timeframe for the deal to get done.

“Fairly quickly,” he responded. “Because time is money.”

The 73-year-old Ventura has been in talks with WWE regarding the Legends deal for months. In July, he visited WWE Raw when the show took place from Minnesota. Ventura told Van Vliet that WWE is more mainstream, corporate, and better to deal with now that the company is under the umbrella of Endeavor.

A legendary commentator and wrestler, Ventura was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004. He served as governor of Minnesota from 1999-2003.
