Indi Hartwell wrestles first post-WWE match in Australia

Indi Hartwell returned to the ring this weekend, winning the Renegades of Wrestling Women’s Championship in her first match since being released by WWE in November.

Hartwell defeated Aysha to capture the title on Sunday in Melbourne, Australia.

Hartwell posted a video documenting her travel to Australia for the match. She said of Aysha, “She’s very prominent in the Australian wrestling scene, and she’s a Melbourne girl like me. I see a lot of myself in her. I feel like she was the one to kind of take my place when I moved on and moved to America.”

Aysha has trained at PCW Academy in Australia and Tyler Breeze and Shawn Spears’ Flatbacks Wrestling School in Florida.

Hartwell will wrestle her first post-WWE match in the United States next weekend at House of Glory’s Dreamz event in Jamaica, Queens, New York City. Mercedes Mone is also scheduled for the show.

Now a free agent, Hartwell was recently asked what she’s looking for in her next company during an interview with MCW Backstage Pass. She listed “professionalism” and production value as key factors in her decision.
