Hartford to host WWE Money in the Bank 2019

This year’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view is taking place a month earlier than usual.

The XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut announced today that they’ll be hosting Money in the Bank 2019 on May 19. Money in the Bank has taken place in June over the last five years and was the July PPV prior to that.

Tickets for Money in the Bank 2019 will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Eastern time this Friday (March 8).

Braun Strowman won last year’s men’s Money in the Bank ladder match and unsuccessfully cashed in the briefcase at Hell in a Cell, which was part of an angle where Brock Lesnar caused Roman Reigns vs. Strowman to end in a no contest.

Alexa Bliss was the winner of the 2018 women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. She cashed in on the same night as she won the briefcase, interrupting Nia Jax’s match against Ronda Rousey and then defeating Jax to win the Raw Women’s Championship. Bliss dropped the title to Rousey at SummerSlam.
