Gunther ‘suspension’ lifted, face-to-face set for WWE Raw

Gunther’s “indefinite suspension” has been lifted in time for him to appear on WWE Raw tonight.
A face-to-face between Gunther and Pat McAfee will take place on tonight’s show. The segment was announced this afternoon by Raw General Manager Adam Pearce, who will moderate their confrontation.
“I can confirm that the Ring General Gunther’s suspension as of this morning has been officially lifted,” Pearce said. “He will be here tonight in Omaha on Monday Night Raw as I will moderate a face-to-face. Pat McAfee and Gunther in the ring at the same time, and I can guarantee you we will not see a repeat of what happened two weeks ago.”
There was an angle on the post-WrestleMania episode of Raw where Gunther — furious over losing the World Heavyweight Championship to Jey Uso — confronted Michael Cole at the commentary desk. McAfee stood up for his broadcast partner but was attacked and choked out by Gunther.
WWE furthered the angle by announcing that Gunther had been suspended indefinitely and fined an undisclosed amount of money. McAfee cut a promo last week challenging Gunther to a match, and it was made official for Backlash. Tonight’s Raw is the go-home show for the PLE.
