Gunther attacks Michael Cole, chokes out Pat McAfee on WWE Raw

Gunther took his anger out on the Raw announce team.
During the Raw following WrestleMania 41, Gunther emerged at the ringside area through the crowd as they started to chant “you tapped out.” An angry Gunther confronted Michael Cole about his situation. Cole responded that he wasn’t the one who tapped out on Saturday. The enraged former champion then went in on the attack, putting Cole in a chokehold. Pat McAfee went to save his commentary partner, only for Gunther to let go of Cole and attack McAfee, putting him in a choke as well. WWE officials came in to break things up as Gunther had McAfee on the ground.
The next several minutes saw officials help McAfee to the back, with Cole nearby. As McAfee was taken to the trainer’s room, Pearce asked Cole to take the rest of the night off. Cole rejected the idea, saying he wasn’t going to let a bully tell him not to have opinions or enjoy WrestleMania weekend. He eventually returned to the announce table with Joe Tessitore.
Jey Uso defeated Gunther at Saturday’s WrestleMania 41, shockingly submitting the Ring General with a rear naked choke. Earlier on Raw, Uso celebrated his championship win with the returning Sami Zayn and his twin brother Jimmy.
