Gable Steveson confronts Chad Gable at WWE WrestleMania 38

Two-time NCAA  Heavyweight Champion and Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson appeared at WWE WrestleMania 38 for the second consecutive night Sunday, confronting Chad Gable.

Following the opening Raw Tag Team Championship match featuring RK-Bro retaining their titles in a three-way also involving Alpha Academy and The Street Profits, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins of the Profits proposed a toast to RK-Bro, then invited Steveson into the ring to join them.

As Street Profits, RK-Bro and Steveson raised their cups, Chad Gable entered the ring and slapped Steveson’s drink out of his hand. Gable cut a promo announcing that he was going to give Steveson a free lesson, but Steveson knocked the mic away and delivered an overhead belly-to-belly throw to Gable, then mugged for the camera.

Steveson was introduced by WWE chief brand officer Stephanie McMahon on night one of WrestleMania.

After retiring from amateur wrestling last month, Steveson is expected to be a regular on the Raw roster imminently. He was drafted to the brand in the 2021 WWE Draft after signing an NIL deal with the company last September.
