Four matches announced for next week’s WWE Raw

After more than a month out of action, Sheamus is returning to the ring.
WWE has announced that Sheamus will defend his United States Championship against Humberto Carrillo on Raw next Monday. It will be the first time Sheamus has wrestled since suffering a broken nose during a match against Carrillo on the May 31 episode of Raw.
Sheamus lost back-to-back non-title matches against Ricochet and Carrillo on that May 31 Raw episode. Carrillo and Ricochet faced off in a number one contender’s match the next week, but it ended in a double countout.
Also on next Monday’s Raw, there will be a falls count anywhere match between Ricochet and John Morrison. This will be the third straight week that Ricochet and Morrison have faced each other.
Last week’s Ricochet vs. Morrison match ended in a double countout after Ricochet gave Morrison a springboard crossbody as he was on top of the barricade. The crossbody sent both Ricochet and Morrison over the barricade. In their rematch tonight, Ricochet lost by countout when The Miz used his wheelchair to block Ricochet from getting back into the ring.
Ricochet and Morrison will both be participants in this year’s men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
Next week’s Raw, which is being taped in advance, is the brand’s go-home show for Money in the Bank. It will also be the last Raw of the ThunderDome era. Here’s the full list of what’s been announced for the episode:
- United States Champion Sheamus defends against Humberto Carrillo
- Falls count anywhere match: Ricochet vs. John Morrison
- Erik vs. Omos
- Ivar vs. AJ Styles
Styles & Omos are defending their Raw Tag Team titles against The Viking Raiders (Ivar & Erik) on Raw in two weeks (Monday, July 19). Omos vs. Erik on next week’s Raw will be Omos’ first-ever televised singles match.
