Former Tegan Nox announced for first post-WWE indie dates

The former Tegan Nox has booked her first indie dates since being released by WWE.

Attack Pro Wrestling announced today that Nixon Newell will return to the promotion at their Under the Mistletour events in Cardiff on Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15. The promotion, owned by wrestler Mark Andrews, is based in Newell’s home country of Wales. She’s regularly appeared there in the past.

Newell, Indi Hartwell, and Baron Corbin departed WWE last Friday with Newell and Hartwell being released and Corbin’s contract not being renewed. At the time she was released, Newell indicated it would be 90 days before she would be able to return to the indies.

This was Newell’s second time being let go by WWE. She was originally signed to the promotion from 2017-2021 and then returned from 2022-2024, teaming with Natalya during that second stint. Though multiple serious knee injuries hampered her early career, the 29-year-old Newell is healthy and ready to compete.

“Some things are just out of your control and you can only do as much as you can,” she tweeted after being released. “Let’s clear one thing up though. I’m ready. Ive been ready. Just have to show people what they’ve missed.”
