Five Money in the Bank qualifying matches announced for WWE Raw
Five Money in the Bank qualifying matches have been announced for tonight’s Hell in a Cell fallout edition of Raw.
Three of the qualifiers are for this year’s men’s Money in the Bank ladder match and two are for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Both of tonight’s women’s qualifiers are tag matches.
- AJ Styles vs. Ricochet
- Randy Orton vs. John Morrison
- Drew McIntyre vs. Riddle
- Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross vs. Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler
- Asuka & Naomi vs. Eva Marie & Piper Niven (Doudrop)
McIntyre unsuccessfully challenged for Bobby Lashley’s WWE Championship in a Hell in a Cell match at last night’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. As a stipulation of his loss, McIntyre can’t challenge for the WWE Championship again while Lashley is still champion. WWE’s announcement of his Money in the Bank qualifier states that McIntyre “might just have a path to the WWE Championship after all.”
An email sent out by WWE promoting tonight’s show identifies Niven as “Doudrop,” which has been expected to be her name on the main roster. Niven debuted on Raw alongside the returning Marie last week.
Money in the Bank is taking place at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas on Sunday, July 18. It will be the first PPV in WWE’s return to touring.
