Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt set for WWE SummerSlam

Bray Wyatt vs. Finn Balor has been set for SummerSlam.

Balor appeared on TV for the first time since being laid out by Bray Wyatt’s new “fiend” persona last week on Raw. He issued the challenge for SummerSlam, saying that he’s faced fear before. A new episode of Firefly Funhouse then aired, where Bray Wyatt said “the fiend” had accepted his challenge. The video shifted to the fiend briefly before ending.

This comes following the altercation on Raw two weeks ago where Wyatt, under the fiend persona, laid out Balor with the Sister Abigal. On Raw last night, Wyatt attacked Mick Foley, latching onto him with the mandible claw.

This will be the first televised match Bray Wyatt has participated in since December 30, 2018 when he beat Baron Corbin in a no DQ match at a Raw house show in Buffalo, New York.

SummerSlam will take place at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada on August 11.
