Eye for an eye match official for WWE Extreme Rules
It will be an eye for an eye when Rey Mysterio and Seth Rollins face off at Extreme Rules.
It was announced on tonight’s episode of Raw that Mysterio vs. Rollins in an “eye for an eye match” is set for Extreme Rules. In storyline, Mysterio got to choose the stipulation for the match after Mysterio & Kevin Owens defeated Rollins & Murphy on Raw tonight.
The stipulation ties into the angle where Rollins attacked Mysterio’s eye in May. Tonight’s Raw was the first time Mysterio has wrestled since then.
Mysterio announced the eye for an eye stipulation after pinning Murphy in tonight’s tag match. Mysterio said he’ll pull Rollins’ eye out with his bare hands at Extreme Rules.
Dave Meltzer first reported that the eye for an eye match was planned for Extreme Rules. Meltzer also wrote that — after his deal expired — Mysterio is currently working without a WWE contract.
Extreme Rules is taking place on Sunday, July 19. Here’s the updated card for the pay-per-view:

- SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley defending against Nikki Cross
- Rey Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins in an eye for an eye match
- United States Champion Apollo Crews defending against MVP
