Edge to give update on his future on WWE Raw

Tonight’s episode of Raw will feature Edge giving an update on his professional wrestling future.

“June 22, 1998 I made my @WWE televised debut. Tonight, on #RAW exactly 22 years later, I update everyone on my future,” Edge announced via his social media accounts.

WWE confirmed last Monday that Edge suffered a torn triceps while filming the “Greatest Wrestling Match Ever” against Randy Orton for Backlash. WWE wrote that Edge underwent successful surgery and was currently rehabbing at home.

The Backlash match was taped on June 7.

Orton defeated Edge at Backlash and then opened last week’s Raw. He was confronted by Christian, which led to Orton challenging Christian to face him in an unsanctioned match later in the show. Ric Flair, who tried to talk Christian out of accepting, low blowed Christian right as the match started. Orton then hit a punt on Christian and got the win.

Flair will appear on tonight’s Raw to crown Orton as the greatest wrestler ever.

Tonight’s Raw is being called the “Championship Monday” edition of the show and will feature four title matches: Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair for the Raw Women’s Championship, Bayley & Sasha Banks vs. The IIconics for the Women’s Tag Team titles, The Street Profits vs. The Viking Raiders for the Raw Tag Team titles, and R-Truth vs. Akira Tozawa and his ninjas for the 24/7 Championship.

An appearance by Rey Mysterio will also air on tonight’s Raw. It will be his first in-person appearance since the angle where Seth Rollins attacked his eye last month.
