Drew McIntyre’s return set for next week’s WWE Raw

Drew McIntyre will meet with GM Adam Pearce on the Monday, July 15 Raw to discuss his storyline reinstatement.

Pearce issued an indefinite storyline suspension to McIntyre after McIntyre disrupted the Money in the Bank post-show last Saturday after CM Punk cost McIntyre an opportunity at the World Heavyweight Championship.

McIntyre won the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match on Saturday, then cashed in during a Damian Priest vs. Seth Rollins title match to make it a triple threat. Punk interfered and cost McIntyre the match, allowing Priest to pin McIntyre to retain.

Punk lobbied for McIntyre’s reinstatement on Monday’s Raw, with Pearce only agreeing to bring McIntyre to Raw for a meeting with Pearce to discuss a possible reinstatement.

Also set for next week, Priest will go face-to-face with his SummerSlam opponent for the World Heavyweight Championship, 2024 King of the Ring winner Gunther.

Sheamus vs. Bronson Reed has also been announced for the Monday, July 15 Raw in Dayton, Ohio.
