Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus set for next week’s WWE SmackDown

A Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook is scheduled for next Friday’s SmackDown.

In addition to Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre, Aliyah will face Lacey Evans, The New Day will face The Viking Raiders, and the Maximum Male Models will show their 2022 beachwear collection.

McIntyre and Sheamus will meet following a meeting between the two on Friday’s SmackDown. McIntyre wanted a match right then and there, with Sheamus eventually agreeing. However, he said it would be for next week’s show, and showcased a collection of shillelaghs. The winner of next week’s match will face Roman Reigns at Clash at the Castle in Wales on September 3.

For the second week in a row, Lacey Evans came to the ring on SmackDown and hurled insults to the crowd instead of facing off against Aliyah. Also like last week, Evans laid out Aliyah with the woman’s right while Aliyah was distracted.

The Viking Raiders on SmackDown defeated Jinder Mahal and Shanky by countout after Ivar tossed Mahal into The New Day, who were on commentary, setting up the match between their two teams for next week.

The Maximum Male Models will showcase their beachwear collection after Maxxine Dupri, the former Sofia Cromwell of NXT, was introduced on Friday’s show.
