Drew McIntyre underwent minor surgery, expected back soon

Drew McIntyre recently underwent minor surgery but is expected to return soon.
Dave Meltzer has confirmed that McIntyre underwent a minor surgery that isn’t considered to be serious. McIntyre’s recovery time is expected to be short.
Further details about the surgery haven’t been revealed.
PWInsider first reported the surgery and noted that McIntyre isn’t backstage at tonight’s Raw at Madison Square Garden. Their report stated that McIntyre could be cleared to return by next week’s television. They noted that “McIntyre is ready to return already and it’s WWE’s call as to when that will be.”
McIntyre wasn’t on Raw or SmackDown last week. On Raw two weeks ago, he lost to Ricochet in a King of the Ring tournament first-round match. Ricochet vs. Samoa Joe vs. Baron Corbin is Raw’s semifinal match for the tournament. The winner will advance to the finals at Clash of Champions.
Elias vs. Chad Gable is SmackDown’s King of the Ring semifinal match.
