Drew McIntyre to address his ‘heinous actions’ on WWE Raw

One week after sending CM Punk out in an ambulance, Drew McIntyre is set to address his “heinous actions.”

There was an angle on WWE Raw last week where Punk was stretchered out after a blindside attack from McIntyre. During the attack, McIntyre hit multiple Claymores, ripped apart Punk’s bracelet, and shoved the beads of the bracelet into Punk’s mouth. The bracelet — which played a big role in the Punk/McIntyre feud — had the names of Punk’s wife and dog on it.

WWE has announced that it will follow up on the angle with a McIntyre promo segment on Raw tonight.

“This Monday, Drew McIntyre returns to Raw, one week after destroying CM Punk and The Straight-Edge Superstar’s bracelet in a heinous assault,” WWE wrote.

“How will The Scottish Warrior explain his actions when he appears live on Raw, as WWE Week on USA kicks off on Monday?”

Punk defeated McIntyre in a strap match at Bash in Berlin on August 31. Before last week’s attack, Punk was cutting a promo about wanting to move on from McIntyre and challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Following their matches at Bash in Berlin and SummerSlam, Punk and McIntyre now have a 1-1 record against each other. A third match to settle their rivalry seems likely for WWE Bad Blood next month.

Tonight’s Raw from Calgary, Alberta, Canada is being billed as the season premiere episode of the show. Here’s everything that’s been announced:
