Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes discuss 2023 plans on WWE Raw

Both Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes appeared on Monday’s Absolute Best of 2022 edition of WWE Raw to share their plans for the upcoming new year.

McIntyre has been out of action since the end of November, last wrestling at a house show in Portland, Maine. When asked about his status on Monday’s Raw, he said that he was dealing with a “minor injury” and would be back soon, saying he wouldn’t miss upcoming events during the Road to WrestleMania.

McIntyre was also asked about his memories of Clash at the Castle back in September, which they showed footage of during the three-hour recap show.

Cody Rhodes also appeared on Monday’s show to talk bout his match against Seth Rollins from Hell in a Cell back in June. When asked about 2023, Rhodes said that he wants to pick up right where he left off.

“In this time that we’re in, I have this opportunity at making that happen,” Rhodes said, referring to a dream he had back when he first started wrestling at Ohio Valley Wrestling. “I’m being incredibly vague here, I get it. But I think anyone who is a fan of what we do can read between the lines. There is one thing I came back for specifically and again, a torn pec couldn’t stop me. I can’t name anything that can stop me. That has to be done, it needs to be done, and I want to get it done.”

Rhodes tore his pectoral muscle just days prior to a Hell in a Cell match. Despite the injury, he defeated Rollins at the event, then was written off the following Monday on Raw in order to get surgery.
