Drake Maverick reportedly back in WWE under creative role

Drake Maverick is reportedly back in WWE under a creative role.
PWInsider reported this evening that Maverick, real name James Curtin, has been working behind the scenes on the Raw creative team, starting 3 to 4 weeks ago. Maverick was released by WWE in November as part of wide-ranging talent cuts.
Maverick was originally signed by WWE in 2017, first serving as a general manager for 205 Live and later as the manager for the Authors of Pain. He also was a part of WWE 24/7 title skits, including using his own wedding to set up an angle over the title. He was originally cut in 2020, but after uploading an emotional promo on social media, was re-signed as part of the NXT brand.
Upon re-signing, he was put in a tag team with Killian Dain. When Dain was released last summer, Maverick was called back up to the main roster, usually as part of 24/7 title skits with R-Truth and others.
