Dominik Mysterio trolls CM Punk with AEW clip

The 13-year rivalry between CM Punk and Dominik Mysterio is heating up.

Punk vs. Mysterio is advertised for WWE house shows on December 26 at Madison Square Garden in New York and December 30 at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles.

Punk promoted the Los Angeles show while on commentary at a Cage Fury FC event on Friday and took a shot at his upcoming opponent in the process.

Punk said:

Come out to the KIA Forum, watch me beat up Dirty Dominik. I’ve been wanting to punch this kid in the face since he was eight years old. Now he’s legal and I’m going to destroy him.

Mysterio responded to Punk on Monday by posting a video of Punk slipping off the top rope during a match in AEW. He captioned the post with, “Punch me like this please…@CMPunk #bestintheworld.”

The clip is actually from Punk’s last match at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles. He was teaming with FTR against The Gunns and Max Caster. Punk had broken his foot moments before the match began when he did a stage dive into the crowd. He ended up having to vacate the AEW World Championship as a result.

Punk and Dominik’s bad blood dates back to a 2010 angle involving Punk and Rey Mysterio. The Mysterio family, including Dominik and Aalyah, were often featured in the storyline, including a famous segment when Punk sang Happy Birthday to Aalyah.
