Less than a year after returning to the company, Emma has been released by WWE.

Emma (real name Tenille Dashwood) announced on Thursday that she’s no longer with WWE. She was previously released by WWE in 2017 but returned last October after five years away.

Earlier this morning, Emma called it a “dream” that WWE is holding Elimination Chamber in her home country of Australia next February. She then posted an update announcing her release.

“Oops nevermind,” Emma wrote. “I just got released… I am no longer with WWE.”

Emma made her return to WWE by answering a SmackDown Women’s Championship open challenge from Ronda Rousey in October 2022.

In 2023, Emma only wrestled nine matches. Her most recent match was a loss to Shayna Baszler on the July 10 episode of Raw.

Emma and Riddick Moss are engaged to be married. The couple revealed their engagement this June. They had been paired together on-screen for a period of time in WWE and worked a program against Karrion Kross and Scarlett.

Before her return to WWE last year, Emma worked for Impact Wrestling.
