Dolph Ziggler to put his career on the line against Miz at WWE No Mercy
The Miz will once again defend his Intercontinental Championship against Dolph Ziggler, but this time the stakes have been raised.
It was announced on Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown that Ziggler would put his career on the line in a title match against Miz at No Mercy. The Miz was in the middle of a homecoming celebration in his hometown of Cleveland, OH, when Ziggler interrupted and made an emotional challenge for a match at No Mercy.
The match at No Mercy will be the third time in recent weeks that Ziggler has challenged Miz for the title. Miz retained over Ziggler at Backlash, and Ziggler once again came up short on SmackDown last week after Miz used Maryse’s hairspray to help retain the title.
No Mercy is scheduled for October 9th. The updated card for the show is:
- AJ Styles defending his WWE World Championship against John Cena and Dean Ambrose in a triple threat match
- Becky Lynch defending her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss
- Heath Slater & Rhyno defending their SmackDown Tag Team Championship against The Usos
- The Miz defending his Intercontinental Championship against Dolph Ziggler with Ziggler’s career on the line
