Cody Rhodes to address John Cena attack on WWE SmackDown
Cody Rhodes will appear on SmackDown this Friday.
After showing the shocking ending to Saturday’s Elimination Chamber on Raw, Michael Cole said that he had been in communication with Rhodes since the event. Although he didn’t say much, Cole said that Rhodes would be at SmackDown this Friday in San Antonio.
After winning the Elimination Chamber, John Cena was met by Rhodes as the match between the two became official for WrestleMania 41. The Rock and rap star Travis Scott then came to the ring, with Rock asking Rhodes for his answer on whether or not he’d give Rock his soul. After Rhodes flatly rejected the offer, Cena at first was elated by Rhodes’ rejection and hugged Rhodes. However, it soon became clear that it was actually Cena that had sold out to Rock, as once Rock made the call Cena low blowed Rhodes and brutally assaulted him, leaving Rhodes a bloody mess.
Additionally, Randy Orton and Jade Cargill will also appear on Friday’s show. Both made their return at the Elimination Chamber, with Cargill going after Naomi and Orton focusing on the man that piledrove him, Kevin Owens.
