Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes segments added to WWE SmackDown

Update —
WWE has also announced that Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa will go face-to-face on tonight’s SmackDown.

Cody Rhodes will be on WWE SmackDown tonight to continue the build to Crown Jewel.
Rhodes and Gunther — the respective World Champions of SmackDown and Raw — are facing off in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, November 2. Though neither of their titles will be on the line, the match will determine the first-ever Crown Jewel Champion.
WWE has announced that Rhodes will address that upcoming matchup on SmackDown tonight:
After coming face-to-face with World Heavyweight Champion Gunther on Raw, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is set to address his match against The Ring General for the Crown Jewel Championship on Nov. 2. Don’t miss the action on SmackDown, Friday at 8/7 C on USA.
The face-to-face between Rhodes and Gunther on Raw was mostly respectful and ended with a handshake, but there were some verbal shots from both competitors — including Gunther calling Rhodes a “secondary champion.”
In addition to this program with Gunther, Rhodes is feuding with Kevin Owens — who attacked Rhodes in an angle after WWE Bad Blood. Owens posted a social media promo today addressing his recent attacks on Rhodes and Randy Orton.
Columbia, South Carolina is the location for tonight’s SmackDown. The episode will feature an appearance by Roman Reigns. Plus, it’s expected that the Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) will make their WWE debut.
