Cody Rhodes reacts to ‘We want Cody’ chants after WWE Raw

After WWE Raw ended on Monday night, an emotional Cody Rhodes reacted to the support he received from the crowd.
Raw was the first WWE television show since Rhodes seemingly gave up his WrestleMania 40 spot against Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns to The Rock. During the show, the fans were vocal in expressing that Reigns vs. Rhodes is what they want to see at WrestleMania. There were chants of “We want Cody” and “Rocky sucks.”
Those chants continued after Raw went off the air. WWE uploaded a clip of Rhodes addressing the fans after the show and responding to their “We want Cody” chants:
Those three words. Well, all I can say is this: Since I was a little boy who grew up loving everything, for you to want me is special, because I have always wanted you.

Raw didn’t provide any answers about the WrestleMania 40 main event picture. A segment with Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins took place at the start of the episode, but it was interrupted by Drew McIntyre.
Rhodes defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in a bull rope match in the main event of Raw but was attacked by McIntyre after.
Following Raw, McIntyre and Nakamura attempted to beat down Rhodes until Sami Zayn made the save:
We’ll find out the WrestleMania 40 main event when WWE holds a media event in Las Vegas this Thursday. Rhodes, Reigns, and The Rock will all be in attendance.
Rhodes tweeted during Raw last night: “Appreciate the passion, God bless y’all…but Trust me”
