Cody Rhodes presents WWE title belt to MLB Home Run Derby winner
WWE star Cody Rhodes appeared at Monday’s MLB Home Run Derby in the Atlanta metropolitan area to present the winner with a title belt.
Rhodes, who will challenge John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam on August 2 or August 3, was on hand for the Home Run Derby at Truist Park on Monday evening to present winner “Big Dumper” Cal Raleigh with a custom WWE title belt.
The belt featured MLB and presenting Home Run Derby sponsor T-Mobile logos, as well as a WWE logo on the face and side plates.
Raleigh, a catcher for the Seattle Mariners, won the Derby with 54 total home runs, and defeated Tampa Bay Rays infielder Junior Caminero by an 18-15 score in the final round. Raleigh also currently leads all MLB players with 38 home runs so far this season, and became the first catcher to win the Home Run Derby in the 40-year history of the event. He is also the first Seattle Mariner to win the Home Run Derby since Ken Griffey Jr. did it three times in 1994, 1998, and 1999.
