Cody Rhodes: I know who The Rock will come for when he returns to WWE

Cody Rhodes says he knows who The Rock will target when he returns to WWE.
Rhodes was recently interviewed by Adrian Hernandez and asked about reports that The Rock might not wrestle at WrestleMania 41. He responded that whether Rock steps through the ropes or not, he’ll have significant influence over the event.
Rhodes said:
“I don’t mean this in a smart alec type way, but Rock is the director of the board, the man that is the final boss. Dwayne Johnson is different from the final boss, and his outside-the-box thinking with Nick Khan and Triple H is part of WWE’s record era, part of this WWE Netflix era. So, whether he’s in the ring or whether he’s not, he very much is still very involved with what happens at 41.”
Rock made a brief appearance following the main event of WWE Bad Blood in Rhodes’ hometown of Atlanta last month. Rhodes had just teamed with Roman Reigns in a win over Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa when Rock appeared on the stage, counted to three with his fingers, and then left. Some have taken Rock’s gestures as referring to his having pinned Rhodes on night one of WrestleMania 40.
“I know when he comes back, I know who he’ll come looking for. I know what to expect. But what I can say about WrestleMania 41 is keep the rumors going, keep them churning, enjoy the discourse, but I think what you will get will surprise you all.”
Before Rhodes turns his attention back to The Rock, however, he still has a developing feud with Kevin Owens. Rhodes and Owens are scheduled for a face-to-face segment on WWE SmackDown this week as they build to a match expected for next month’s Saturday Night’s Main Event.
