Cody Rhodes declares for WWE Royal Rumble

Cody Rhodes is entering the Royal Rumble.
After talking about his team’s win at Survivor Series, Rhodes said he will be the first to declare for the WWE Royal Rumble, which takes place on January 29 in Florida. The arena then went dark as Shinsuke Nakamura appeared on the screen. He revealed that the person he had been talking about in recent weeks was Rhodes, and promised to bring chaos. He then appeared behind Rhodes and misted him, causing him to fall in the ground.

Rhodes won last year’s Royal Rumble, last eliminating Gunther. He went on to challenge Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, where he lost his match for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
At Survivor Series, Rhodes won the match for his team, defeating The Bloodline and Drew McIntyre. The end of the match had Randy Orton come out to even the odds for Rhodes’ team, hitting JD McDonagh with an RKO off the steel cage. Rhodes then pinned Damian Priest with the crossroads.
